Received these sheets today and they have a very strong odor to them!! They are scratchy but may soften after several washes. My biggest complaint is the taupe color is gold, I do not like the color with my decor would have done the silver instead.. but it took a few weeks to ship so I dont have time to wait for a new one.UPDATE: the company responded fast and offered a refund due to smell and to purchase a different color. Shipping times are delayed through amazon at this time which is understandable. The overall quality is great, elastic is thick and the pockets we deep enough for my tall matteress with topper. Overall would purchase again based on customer service.Very deep pockets, excellent thickness and softness. These are the first king size sheets I have ever had that actually fit the full depth of my mattress, plus a 3 inch mattress topper - and tuck well underneath without slipping at all. Our mattress with the topper and a topper cover, from the top corner to the bottom edge is a full 18-inches thick. There is extra inch and a half approximately once they are over the full 18-in mattress, so their an absolutely a perfect size sheet for those of you with super thick mattresses "set ups". The white part you see underneath is only our box spring. No area of the mattress is exposed when these sheets are on. I highly recommend these sheets!My husband and I love these sheets. This is the second King size 18'' deep fitted bottom sheet I have ordered. My bottom fitted sheets are always the ones that wear out not the top. I have looked at buying just the bottom fitted sheets before but it was almost as expensive as buying the whole king size set! I took a chance and ordered one first. We were impressed and I ordered another. This was a huge savings. I have top sheets that are like new and now I have great new bottom sheets for less than half the price of buying a new set on sale. I highly recommend these. I noticed some one said they are made in the Dominican Republic but both my packages say India.I do not remember seeing the care for the sheets listed on-line. The label says 'cold wash' and 'iron.' My mattress requires deep pockets- 20" and after washing in cold water and drying on low heat, the fitted queen did meet my size expectations. I did not iron the sheets but removed from the dryer and placed on bed immediately. I prefer to wash on warm and to use a higher setting during drying. I do not plan to order this item again.I was skeptical at first because this sheet really smelled awful when I took it out of the packaging. But I washed it 2x in warm water with fabric softener and the smell went away. The sheet is otherwise fine, thick, and fits our King Size bed well.ordered the full 18" deep-pocket to go over my existing mattress (8") and a newly purchased 3" topper. the sheet is nice and thick - well-made. washed and dried before putting on bed. took out of dryer when it was dry and was hardly wrinkled. this sheet fit perfectly over mattress and topper and was large enough to have at least 4 inches excess to tuck under the mattress. I will order another color. was glad to find fitted sheet only, since I always buy a queen or king flat sheet (cuts down on tug-of-war during night for cover).Bought these fitted sheets to add to all the flat sheets and pillowcases I already have in the linen closet. The fitted sheets to many of my sets have holes in them. So rather than buy more sets, I replaced the fitted sheets. These fitted sheets are very thick cotton and have strong elastic all the way around the bottom. They fit over my mattress & 3 inch mattress topper with ease. They are a bit rough or scratchy, but I am washing them with baking soda to help soften them.Doesn't feel like sateen to me. The material is thick enough to seem like it will last through quite a few washings but not smooth like sateen, even after 8 or so washings. Slightly rough but not enough to bother me. Hard to stretch onto my 14" queen mattress. I guess you get what you pay for though.The sheet material is good, but if you are buying a fitted sheet for a california king bed be aware that the sheet is not snug.
