My sheet search expectations were low. I've purchased some really thin "1000 egyptian super silk weave science infused technology enhanced" cotton thread count sheets off Amazon a few years back, and they were thin and destroyed after a single wash (or realistically three/four) I settled on 400 thread count at this price because I know they will have a little thickness/quality to them. Knowing no one stocks split king in stores, I found myself on Amazon once again making a better educated attempt at purchasing a temporary sheet set.So, I have these now, as my sleep number sheets were on backorder. Well, I got a solid weeks sleep in these after a wash, and they aren't anything special. Not entirely thin, but not very thick or soft. On that note, they aren't soft and cozy at all. Not losing sleep over it, because for the price($80 shipped), you can't go wrong. I spent a few hours shopping around online for a split king set, and settled on this since it seemed to be my best bang for my buck for my type of bed.Well, my sleep number sheets came in (temperature balancing ones) and I prefer the sleep number sheets way over these, as one would expect. They cost more ($156 on sale; in-store not online) and only come with a king sheet and the split king sheet cover, but the quality and feel of the sheets are well above these. I'll keep these as my backup set, or maybe return them and fork out the extra half for another sleep number set.In conclusion, If you want to cover your bed with sheets that will survive a wash cycle, these will do. But if you're looking for great sheets, go pay for it.These are very soft and very affordable. I don't understand people who expect the world for this kind of money. Yes, they are thinner that some sheets, but not transparent, so i'm cool. They're EXTREMELY SOFT, which is typcial of egyptian cotton, so if you're someone who likes crisp cotton shirt material for sheets, this is not for you. I like a soft, smooth, cool sheet to sleep on, and these fit the bill. I'm a sheet freak and probably have about 30 sets of all kinds. My bed is my haven and I like it to always look good and feel good, so I can't say how well these sheets will hold up for someone looking to have them be their only set, or one of a few. I change bedding styles every six weeks( sheets taken up sometimes twice a week) so I'm always looking for the right sheet and color to match whatever duvet is going on the bed. Some people think I'm nuts, but it's how I was raised. Anyway, as I bore everyone to tears, these fit the bill and I would gladly purchase more. Glad to find them.Perfect for those of us who like soft clean sheets instead of crisp clean ones and can't afford to pay $100 for a set of sheets. After the first wash and rinse with fabric softener, they are so soft and comfortable, they make it hard to get out of bed in the morning. They seem to be well-made, and are not thin by my standards. The stripe pattern is attractive and makes them look like more expensive sheets. In addition, they fit my "Craftmatic-type" mattress perfectly, and though the pillowcase is adequate for a regular pillow, there is not a lot of extra material to bunch up under your head. The whole set is a smooth close fit. I especially like the price, as I cannot afford to pay many of the department store prices. The only thing I'm not crazy about, and it's a small thing, is that the top sheet does not have a lot of extra overhang, which I do like. It is adequate, just not a lot of extra. But I guess that comes along with the smooth, close fit of the fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase. I would recommend these sheets and plan to buy a couple of more sets while they are available.Good soft feel to the fabric and good weight. It wrinkles easily, but once on the bed most of the wrinkles smooth out. The stripes are desirably understated, but still lend a nice finished look to the material. We have a custom made 100% dunlop latex mattress that is 15" high. This sheet fits with plenty of room to spare, unlike others that make the same depth claim but do not fit well. The final star goes to the price. A great bargain for a top quality sheet set.UPDATE - 2-13-16I will have to dock a couple of stars from my original 5 star rating because of shrinkage of the fabric which started to show up after several washings. And the shrinkage varies by what color you have. It is evident that these sheets, although made to a specification, are manufactured by different companies, who use different fabric materials. We have a thick mattress, and some of the sheet sets are no longer fitting well, either in length or width.I've been searching for a set of navy blue sheets under 100 bucks that would be comfortable. After reading the good, bad and ugly reviews I decided to take a chance... When I first opened the package I thought they were a little rough, but they also felt cool. Anyway- washed them;dried them;put them on the bed.. Minimal wrinkles, rich color, Much softer, and looks beautiful on the bed!!! but....still was not sure if they would be comfortable. Now, one week later I can tell you we love them. These are good sheets for our spring months ahead! Definitely not a crisp cotton sheet-But light and cool. They fit my 12 inch memory foam mattress.
